Lonestar is a scholar and a gentlmen, no doubt. They say every one in Texas does it big but that guy goes beyond big, huge. And its mostly his passion for pipes. He always has interesting and great pieces when he posts cant wait to see his next.
Uber, I've tried to sell that Ninno Rossi a few times and could never get what it's worth. I'd rather give it away to someone who appreciates it than just sell it for nothing. Out of everyone I know, this shape seemed to fit your style, and it sounds like I was right ! Enjoy !Not only do I appreciate the gift, but I love the shape.
Rick, it will be great to meet you at the show brother ! My flight is booked, room is reserved, all thats left is the countdown.I plan on buying him a beer or 2 when we meet at the Chicago Pipe Show in May!!!
Two great pipes, and they couldnt have gone to two better people. I hope we can all meet up one of these days. Cyndi, I showed that picture of you smoking the Rinaldo to my wife. She said, Hey thats my Family Force 5 friend :D Shes going to see them tomorrow night with my Sister.I bought a Rinaldo, which is now Cyndi's pipe, and a Ser Jacopo Hawkbill.
Puffer it was a pleasure doing business with you. I'm happy those pipes made it halfway around the world in good shape :D You'll have to post some pics if you end up making one into a churchwarden.I also wish to post my gratitude to Lonestar for my recent joy of having the Whitehall - Suffolk Prince pipe all the way to Indonesia!
Toker, I've managed to sell nearly all but my personal collection at this point. I may put together enough for one more round, but I've got nearly all the tools I need to start making my own hand made pipes. Sometime in the next few weeks I'll finally get power to my little shop and get my tools set up, so keep your eyes open for the new R.E. Alden handmades that are going to sweep down on the pipe world like Ghengis Khan on Crank :lol:He always has interesting and great pieces when he posts cant wait to see his next.
DITTO!!! :lol:I plan on buying him a beer or 2 when we meet at the Chicago Pipe Show in May!!!

Yeah, you can count on it. What I've been working on (in my head anyway) is a series that pays tribute to the native Tribes of Texas. I've got a cool idea for a Caddo pipe based on the shape of a wikiup. You know that you will have to give the pipes names associated with Texas.
I still have the Clays here, just pm me if you're interested.ever get rid of those tavern clay pipes in your last post?
