Please don't "Like" a post you've not even read. It just clogs up searches, and doesn't do a thing for the "Liker", and usually nothing for the "Likee". It also diminishes the usefulness of reactions.

Plenty of stuff to actually like: Good photos, good writing, and people who agree with your p.o.v..

Just curious...how would you know whether someone has read the post or not?

Ok, I can see if it's something really extreme like that.

Most of the time when I'm just reading the forum I'm not logged in. Then when I do log in I'll often just go and like certain posts that I read, sometimes rather quickly...but never something like 20 in a minute. My guess is that happens mostly on the WAYS thread.

Now that the cat is outta bag; a once secret fact: A prerequisite to being a moderator is being psychic. They have to shave their heads bald and slide into a pool of goo (together) that smells like Doritos and pickled pigs feet. Once linked into the mainframe they can predict when a thread or post will go south and get political, religious, or belligerent. Then the thread can get locked or deleted, or a post deleted before any harm or damage is done. Kinda like guardian angels

This finally explains why I've had posts deleted before I even started typing them.

It may be the way different info is shown to moderators. In any event, it can be solved by just showing posts folks have made. YMMV.

I believe so. But thousands of likes mean nothing, esp if coming from WAYS.

Perhaps out of a mistaken idea that giving or collecting points is. worth something. Yet it's pointless.

I am sure not anti "Like" at all, but there have been some who go overboard.
