This was my last ebay estate refurb project for this weekend.

The seller noted a crack on the top of the bowl which probably scared away any bidders. It was superficial and easily filled. I figured the gold band alone was worth at least my five buck bid.

The most surprising thing was seeing this giant syringe and needle-like stinger which extends all the way into the bowl. It kind of reminds me of the grate contraption in the Medico Guardsman pipes.
I'll see if it works tomorrow when I fire the thing up.

Other than slightly more to have to contend with during clean ups, that looks like a nice system and a nice pipe.

In my very first briar acquisition, I received an LHS pipe and it's one of my favorites. I've since picked up another LHS. Seems their stinger systems vary from model to model and year to year, not unlike several mfrs.
For sure the band is worth the purchase price!
