Now that the Thanksgiving dinner is nothing more than a memory, the question is who likes leftovers. I have always loved the leftovers as much if not more than the original dinner, but I know of many people who don't want anything to do with Thanksgiving leftovers. So what do you think....eat and enjoy or have nothing to do with it?

This summer we visited old friends of my wife. They threw out uneaten bacon immediately after breakfast. It was then that I realized I care more about food wastage than humanism.

Our family never wasted any food when I was growing up. I still only put on my plate what I will eat and the plate is always clean when I am done. Leftovers are stored and eaten the next day.

Cold turkey sandwiches, mayo and cranberry. Hot turkey sandwiches, stuffing and gravy. This year's Thanksgiving meal was a couple of chili dawgs so . . . sadly . . . no leftovers. First time in my memory.

I am not a turkey lover. Not even a turkey liker for that matter. Whatever leftovers are there are given to family members who appreciate the bird more than I.

Use every bit and make soup with the rest. Turkey omelette ? Sure! Turkey poutine l? Sure!

I always am conscious of food waste and use all I can. Make lots of broth with leftover bones and vegetable peels on the regular, so definitely using all the leftovers. my partner isn’t the biggest fan of eating the same thing for 3 days in a row though, so i gotta get creative!

Edit: we actually basically have an all out ban on turkey at my house. The wife says “why!?” Why would you eat turkey when there are so much better options out there. I’d have to say I agree. But it’s so cheap when it’s on sale!! Sometimes I feel up to the challenge of cooking the impossible bird.

Stuffing is the best part of the whole meal. Well, maybe the mash potatoes.....then again perhaps the candied sweet potatoes.......no, no it could be the turkey......NAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA it's the stuffing.

Our dinner was small this year, only 5 of us, so not much in the way of leftovers. We just did a 6 pound breast instead of the whole bird. But what is leftover will be demolished tomorrow when I get home from work.

The leftover turkey carcass becomes turkey broth, which is then frozen to become part of next year's turkey gravy.

I just love turkey or ham sandwiches. Those really trip my trigger. I also like the stuffing if any is left over and I'll fight anybody gets in my way for pumpkin pie.

Same here, and I'm glad to see others do this too. Every piece of meat gets used, the innards go to a friend's cat, and the carcass goes into a big pot of broth at the very end for turkey noodle soup (which is a great way to get those last little bits of meat off the bones). Nothing infuriates me more than food waste.

I make a turkey blanc lasagne with a hint of turnip greens. Turkey pepper steak sandwiches…. Turkey stew with the remaining blackeyed peas…. We get creative, especially dishes we can prepare and freeze.

Cabbage rolls almost every year here. Make enough for 1 or 2 days eating afterwards. Then, the dog show...

We also love leftovers and abhor food waste. We got a huge spiral ham (on super sale) knowing we'll be freezing most of it. Goes great with my wife's homemade mac & cheese, especially on cold nights.

No sucha thing as leftover. They are the main course until they are gone. Yupe, fixings are the best. Always love the food better next day. The flavors are better.
