Morton here on the forums asked me to post some pics of his latest pipe. It's the 3rd Author in a set, the first 2 being a Briar and a Strawberry wood. I think it's the most awesome one yet, and I named it Le Morta d'Author :mrgreen:

Now he needs one in Olive wood :nana:

Wonderful work, Ryan, per the usual! You really have some fine pieces of work and a plethora of skills to work with. Great job on that morta, the grain is beautiful.

When I was scrolling through the pics, I stopped at the one before the last and thought....that looks like the death star, but that may just be my nerd showing!

I am SO glad you guys get the pun. I think it's the funniest thing I've thunked up in awhile, but when I told my wife she just gave me that "I think you're full of crap" stare... I tried explaining the whole Arthur thing, even broke it down "le Mort d'Arthur / le Morta d'Author....nothing...

Here's the first two in the set;

The briar version

The Strawberry wood
