This will be my last TAD until the new year as Christmas and my daughter's birthday are fast approaching. As always, the team at 4Noggins shipped it fast and it arrived here in Toronto in just one week on the cheapest shipping option that 4Noggins offers. Not bad at all.
Anyways, I received 1 tub of Carter Hall, 2oz each of Granger, Sugar Barrel, Edward G Robinson and 3 50gm tins of SG Best Brown Flake. Now its decisions, decisions.....what to try first!!!

Hmmm, just opened the sample packs of Granger, Sugar Barrel & EGR. Now I really don't know what to try first, leaning towards EGR though as that one has a really intriguing tin note to it. Could be a fun weekend of puffing!

Yep Harris, the BBF, but I already have a tin of that with some nice plume on the go at home. I kind of use the BBF as my "dessert" tobacco to treat myself. I absolutely love that stuff but my nicotine intolerance only allows me to smoke one bowl of something like that. I can have 3 or 4 bowls of CH without issue so I smoke a lot of CH and change it up with something premium like BBF or Capstan Blue.

Get to replenish my stock of CH and add to the BBF cellar. I'm hoping to pick up some more tins when I'm in buffalo in January so I can save the shipping charges. Really looking forward to the 3 new blends though.

Brian, I hope you enjoy your 3 new blends. If BBF and the like are heavy in nicotine for you, I would suggest you never try Peterson Irish Flake, that might put you into a coma. lol

Just pulled the trigger on a nice TAD order with 4noggins, entirely based on this thread. Brian's fault. 8)
Looking forward to trying the EGR...

Harris, its not so much that BBF is too much nicotine, I just know that one bowl is enough of it and any more isn't necessarily enjoyable. I've had a guy at thw ckub try to get me to try Irish Flake. It ain't gonna happen!
Ghost, its ok yiu can blame me for the tad! And for the record, after 1bowl of EGR I may have a new favourite! More complex than the other codger bkends I've tried si far. I'll do a mini review when I've had a couple more bowls.

Dammit... I'm trying to save up for a lathe, and here you go blathering on about TAD. I never shoulda left that cart sitting there at 4Noggins... I'm gonna have to pull the trigger soon. I'm getting itchy to add some newness to the 'baccy drawer.
Congrats on a nice haul, Brian.

Peck, I've had one bowl of the EGR so far but its not enough to Give a review of yet. That being said, it is way more complex than I thought it would be and I could see this becoming a new favourite. On my next order I plan on getting a tin or two of the Klondike Gold based on your recommendations (I listened on Capstan and that went very well)
Pat we'll have to get together soon and you can sample some of the new blends I picked up. With the amount you smoke just come to my cellar for some samples to try, I've fot lots of blends in there. I think you might enjoy the jocks mixture I just opened up from Rattray.

No freaking way, are you going to start making?
I won't use 'making' to describe anything I do until I get consistent and repeatable results... even if they're bad results  ... But, yes, I hope to expand the shop to include a drill press and metal lathe in the next 18 months or so. I'm feeling inspired, and love being in the shop.

Thanks, Brian, I look forward to it.
And Peck, Klondike Gold is definitely on my short-list for the next TAD order.
Happy Friday everyone.
