Latest metal purchases

I know that metal pipes are not everyone's cup of tea - but they sure are mine.

This month I went on a minor binge and spent some(!)money on a nice group of these pipes, some new, some vintage unsmoked and some vintage smoked.
Here is an unsmoked vintage Filto I bought on Etsy:

I also purchased 2 new Falcons with rusticated Istanbul bowls:

Nice haul., I love Falcons and Kirstens. I only have one of each, but I plan to add more eventually. I really want a full bent Kirsten and Falcon.

Hahaha...I thought you were talking about heavy metal records. I was like... "sweet!!!" But those pipes are cool too!

Looks like you got some nice ones! You might check with the folks at the DR. G. factory,they may still have some Vikings there. They made a run of them last year and said that would be the last made. They'll probably be cheaper if they have any.

The full bent Kirstens are the 3rd generation 'Designer' and 'Esquire' models. I'd love to get one of them, too. In fact, last week I got sniped on a beautiful 'Designer.' :crying:

I've heard they're all gone, thanks. Actually, I enjoy browsing Ebay and Etsy to see what they have, and the bidding process can be fun (when you're not sniped!). ::

Nice haul!
Imho, every piper should own at least one Falcon. Take a beating like a cob, give a a consistently good smoke better than a lot of high-end briars...

Couldn't agree more!

I've smoked a few of those high ends, but if I had to live out my life with only one pipe, it would be a Falcon hands down. ::
