Hi guys,
I really like pipes with a LARGE round diameter shank & stem, like the Chacom King Size Long and the Castello Billard KK and the Castello Bent Pot GG of which I own.
What other LARGE diameter shank & stem pipes do you know?
Thanks!
Todd

Look for a Jumbo Wellington, they were made in a regular Large and Kong size with big stems.

Although not shown sitting, or standing as the case may be. I own this Cavalier by Elena Doroshenko.

All ya gotta do is ask. Oh, and pay, we like the pay part too.

There's one on Ebay right now, but expect a fierce battle. Mine is from the early 1930's, the one on Ebay the latter pre-Cadogan period.
Here's a commission I did based on the 499, a Royal Oaks Briar (Kelly Adylott).

CASTELLO OLD ANTIQUARI Fumed Top Thick Walls Billaird Pipe KK
Is this a large shank/stem pipe? it looks like it. It's on eBay right now, and so I might bid on it?

I can't find the listing, but an Old Antiquari in KK size is not going to be a big pipe, I'd be surprised if it was what you were looking for, but you never know with Castello. Can you link to it? It didn't show up when I searched eBay.

Yep, on Old Antiqauri and Sea Rock KK will be pretty small, almost unusual. On those finishes Castello uses K's to grade the size.
You are going to want at least KKKK and probably G or even GG.

Here are mine. I love fat shanks and stems. It started with a 1940's era Peterson. Someone stole it, but after a long hunt I found the bottom one in the first pic. Got it from Pipestud. It was unsmoked and cost me a pretty penny but filled the void left by my other pipe.

The other two are a 1974 Dunhill Rhodesian and a 1950's era Kaywoodie hand made.

The second pic are my newer fat stems, two Savinelli 320's and a Peterson Emerald.
