My phone decided to switch it on me. It must not have thought Torus was a real word. Damn, it tried to do it again.
I googled it. So, like a donut shape. Ha ha

Ha yes, basically. The thing is, from my experience with the shape of the typical cream donut is that their is too much cream in it and it shoots out making unfortunate stains on a person's attire when bitten into, which is the opposite of this donut innovation, plus you get a bit of cream in every mouthful.

When i was little my father owned a Mr Donut, i rarely if ever eat donuts since then, maybe one or two a year and that’s only from small old school places. Donuts were under $1.29 as i recall…. for a bakers dozen.
my favorite is how now if you buy one donut at some places it's really expensive a dozen suddenly is reasonable. As in if you buy four donuts it cost more then the dozen does.

It’s all mass produced crap now, machines making perfect little circles, there is no more craft to it, we had a production baker that would cut, proof and fry and then do the finishing. Now even DD cooks all their donuts in big facilities and trucks them to the stores. Certainly not worth what they are charging.

When I was young I belonged to a charitable organization that had regular meetings ... one of the retired members had owned a deli and kept his donut equipment and brought donuts to every meeting and event... he only made one kind ... a apple cinnamon sugar donut from a very old recipe ... I've never had a donut that good again ... it was like a home made or good bakery product ... light tasty fluffy and not high fat, high sugar.

Well we don't all have access to that Hollywood quality lighting you used in your avatar pic. You look so good it's almost like you're made of wax!
No Hollywood lighting involved, just a window and daylight, but thank you for the compliment.

I hope that whatever critter was responsible for that atrocity is feeling better now.

We had a local couple start an independent shop several years ago that thankfully put Krispy Kreme out. Damn those KK donuts are nasty.
