A couple of weeks ago I bought a Kiko African Meer (white elephant, Tanganyika) at an antique store. The bowl is meerschaum and the pipe weighs 31g/1.1oz. This is my first clean up of an estate pipe. Here are some before and after pictures.

Very nice. What does the right side of the bowl look like? Did you stain it? And if so with what?
I cleaned it with some Oxyclean and a soft toothbrush. That's it. My understanding is that they stained them in the factory. The previous owner must of held the pipe in his right hand because the orange/lighter spot is the perfect thumb spot.
