One of my favorites but I tend to make it with the original Cognac instead of rye whiskey and 3 drops of each bitter. Glad to see it getting some press, try it if you have not. I sometimes use Scrappy Bitters as well. Thanks for another great article.

In the sticks in Mississippi
My wife and I went to NO a few times in the 80s, and one night when it was pouring rain, we ran into the Absinthe House on Bourbon St. It was almost deserted but the bartender was friendly and fun to talk to. He introduced us to the Sazerac cocktail. After a few of these we were starting to believe all the stories he was telling us. Yes a lot of history there, but the next day, we were history. Spent the day sitting in the sun in Audubon park. Great drink though!
