I knew I caught a glimpse of the perfect lighter when I saw photos of the last trip to Denmark. Everything else is as a match or a waste of money. I didn't save the pics It was Kevin making his pipe.
You wonder why his smile is so bright? He doesn't waste money shitty on lighters anymore.

LMAO I wish my smile were so bright, but I use a bic and I'll be damned if it isn't a good lighter I've lit many a bowl with one. On another note wine is good :) especially when you get the bottle to yourself and you understand sipping because you smoke a pipe.

Wait because I'm drinking wine (almost said smoking wine), you are or because I use a cheap $1.50 lighter that actually works instead of chasing a pipe dream lighter that costs who knows how many times as much? Lol I am cloudy.

It's past Kevin's bedtime. He's usually up and working while most of us are still hitting the snooze button. He'll chime in once the sun rises in sunny FL, I'm sure.

sad but true, I have a Zippo pipe lighter(usually out of fluid) and good matches as well. But, I always seem to grab a damn disposable Bic. I even grab the grill lighter, the one with the bendable extension.

I have been using a $40 Colibri Connaught Electro-Quartz butane lighter for the past couple of months and love the damn thing.
Hefty feel in the hand, lights like a champ and the flame goes straight into the bowl and includes a tamper. I've been using ultra-refined butane and I am hoping that helps it remain reliable. Only time will tell, but so far, best lighter I've ever used.

Thats sexy.... can you use the tamper while its still attached to the lighter, as in can you pull it out just far enough to tamp while u smoke?

I suppose, if you grip it a bit, otherwise it will slide back in. Personally, I use a pipe tamper/tool anyway - but handy when you forget it.

i finally got my jetline working again. lighters are a picky bunch end up leading you to bics if you ask me. however i do love when the thing works all tools built in.

I use an IM Corona Old Boy. The pewter finish one with the shape chart. My wife bought it for me as a Valentine's day present 13 years ago right before we got married. I've used it to light every pipe I've ever smoked since. Unfortunately the tamper that fits in the bottom got lost over the years but the lighter still works like just as well as the day I got it.

I mostly use my Corona Old Boy in Briar but it needs a good cleaning so I recently bought this Lotus. It has a tamper and it has a large fuel tank, I like it.
