Keep the wife happy

Today I turned a new tool for stirring a pot. The last time I made habanero cranberry jelly, I used my wife's favorite wooden spoon. The next morning she made the most exciting cream of wheat in her life. The spoon had absorbed the flavor. She insisted that I use something else to stir with the next time I made the jelly. Thus I turned some apple wood into a stirring stick.

Nice outcome! I used the wife's turkey baster for a brake fluid change one time. Guess what day it was when she went to use it again?......Luckily one of our local grocery stores is open on Thanksgiving.

The picture was taken in her quilting area. Her hair clips were laying on the cutting board, along with the thread, so I decided to use them for a size. Also, I wanted the pretty side of the stirring stick up, and it kept rolling around. The hair clips kept it from moving.
