I have an 86 year old friend who's looking for info on his pipe collection. I'm familiar with the pipe and have seen a few but I'm unaware of a year or value of said pipe. Any info would be very much appreciated. Only marking is Kaywoodie on the rim and I belive the clover logo on the stem , I'm guessing 1930's?

Table/desk pipes had been popular from the late 1920's to about the early 1940's. Dunhill made some with hoses fixed with mouth pieces. That looks like a beautiful piece of briar. A call to Kaywoodie may yield more info about it and a possible value.

The guys on the Kaywoodie forum might be able to help (but it's not a very active forum). I found this related thread, but nothing else.

Man I'd like to see inside that bowl! Like a whole pouch of tobacco would fit in that, and you'd never have to leave your chair! Awesome...

Interesting pipe. I don't think I've ever seen one before. It seems a little awkward to smoke, but they must have had a following.
