Very nice banjo, you got a great deal!
I love the twin-bore stembiters that are on some of those all briars.

Love the idea of all-briar, but more than that, I really see this as the fully realized straight apple shape. It's just about perfect no matter what the stem is made of.

I've wondered what a briar stem would be like. I think as a clencher they may not be the best idea for me.

I already own a briar stemmed pipe by Wayne Teipen

and have smoked it many times w/o reservation (it looks as good as the day I got it) since the feel in mouth is hard to describe but similar to early hard rubber so in answer to papipeguy's question, I absolutely expect to smoke the Kaywoodie and mso489, the addition to it being a classic apple shape is icing on the cake IMHO!
