I've wanted one of Karsten's pipes for a very long time. I actually acquired an early work of his as an estate last year, but it disappeared into the Irish postal system never to be seen again - a huge disappointment, as it was magnificent.
So, the other day, I saw THE pipe and did not hesitate (thank you, William, for making this happen for me). It is the most expensive pipe I've ever bought, and, the most beautiful. It is, also, only the third new pipe I've bought. I am unbelievably happy about this. Karsten is an amazing carver, and all round gentleman.

I'm blessed to be the new guardian of this beautiful work.

Though Bulldogs generally don't do anything for me I must say that is a very fine pipe and I hope it brings you years of smoking pleasure, cheers.

Absolutely gorgeous.

:!:
Congrats on such a fine pipe!
I've lusted after Tarp's stuff too, his shaping is near impeccable and it all seems so very precise - excellent designs and he makes everything his own.
I haven't visited William's shop in a while and just went there, wow! love the updated site design...he also has an old WDC Ripple which greatly tempted me!

:P
May your new Drakar carry you faithfully in voyage through the oceanic wonderland of blissful contentment!

Thanks, gents - much appreciated.
Brass, as much as I adore Condor, it's not coming anywhere near this pipe - I have a very, very, very old tin of MacBaren Virginia Flake that I'm been saving for the right occasion - this just might be it.
Troy, you're absolutely spot on in your assessment. The mans work is amazing. Love the long ship, great pic, but that Jet - WOW!!!! That is a thing of mechanical beauty - didn't know such a thing existed. I want one ;-)

Oh my God, that is freaking spectacular. The grain is too die for, the birdseye on the shank is freaking killer, and I love the stain. That is one of the best looking pipes I have seen in the last couple of years. Congrats on an amazing purchase and I hope it smokes as good as it looks. Simply outstanding.
