Just Like It Was Yesterday

Good bowls of tobacco have a tendency to last much long than their burn times.

One in particular I can recall is sitting on my porch in college with a bowl of 2011 Christmas Cheer. It was Halloween. I had struggled with the stuff and then that night decided to take the advice of an older piper and take it sllooowww.

I’m convinced that it was this bowl of tobacco that solidified me as a Virginia guy more than a decade ago (shoutout to Pipes by George in Raleigh, NC for not recommending me an aromatic to start - George recommended 5100 instead. Smart man.).

Anyone else got a memorable smoke they remember like it was yesterday?

In 1974 I was looking to by my first expensive pipe. I bought a Caminetto that cost $65. When I lit it up with a high quality VaPer I knew I had done good.
