Hey guys,
Haven't been on in a couple months here because I packed up all my stuff and drove to North Dakota to find a job. After a week I got a one washing semi trucks for Halliburton. They provide housing. its $15/hr, 77+ hrs a week. I am still looking to get an oil job, but this is a foot in the door.
There are many jobs out here that do provide housing. I would suggest this to those who aren't married or dating anyone (long distance is hard). If you don't want to work in the oil field there are many other jobs out here. For instance walmart is hiring cashiers for $16.50/hr (although no housing)
Just thought i would make a thread for those looking for jobs. maybe we can help one another out. feel free to email me at throwryuken@gmail.com and i can shoot you any leads that i have.

$16.50 is a lot of money for a cashier at WalMart. Are you sure that's what they pay?

i got 16.50/hr from when i was buying groceries a couple days ago and asked a cashier what he makes. i suppose he could have mislead me. not sure. i do know with all of the oil work out here that jobs like mcdonalds, walmart, subway, etc.. are desperate for applicants. the catch with those jobs is that there is NOWHERE to live out here.

Yeah I was going to say, it's probably hard for them to find dedicated employees in such a ... I would say rural but that doesn't quite suffice for North Dakota.

Like George Carlin on his skit with religion, " they pay no taxes, and they always need a little more, now you talk about a good BS story, HOLY SH!T" He was a real character.

I know exactly the stand-up you're talking about.
He was one of a kind for certain ... a master of wit.

I couldn't find that long rant he did during the intro of one of his last stand-ups.
