We found this trail last weekend in the dark and liked it so much we ran it again today in the daylight to try some of the more difficult spots and have time to stop for a smoke.

Had my first bowl of Jim's Special Flake in a meer by H. Ege while taking a break on the trail.

Some highlights:

Ended the day with some WCC Santa's Sack in my pool meer while enjoying some Reif Estate Grand Reserve 2021 Vidal Icewine in the hottub.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but spending five figures to ready ones car to go one mile an hour over lumpy paths that throw people around inside the cab and has a better than 50% chance of damaging the vehicle before the end of the trail, is hard for me to square as leisure.

But maybe I'm just jealous because I live in flat-as-glass Chicago.
You don’t really need to dump a bunch of $ into it. I had an 05 Jeep liberty and all I did was add a throttle body intake, drop in filter and a 2.5” lift kit. The lift at only 2.5” doesn’t impact on-road performance but it’s enough to crawl over fallen trees and such. I guess the teflon-coated aluminum rims and A/T tires are a little pricey but it was fun. I totaled mine on the road, not the trail. I can see how it may not be fun for all people though…it’s nerve racking at times riding rough country in remote areas.

Then you should spend five figures on bullet proof glass.

Looks like you and I got the Tank Green covered.
My '15 was in tank and was a Willys Wheeler and absolutely loved it! The lighting betrays this one a bit, when I traded it for this a year ago I decided to go a bit lighter, so this one is "Sarge", haha. The tank always drew the most comments/inquiries about the color. I thought I'd fly under the radar getting the new one but folks were always asking about the new rims and I had to admit I may have gotten a bit more new than just the wheels. Had the factory hard/soft top before, this time around factory hard top, but got this sporty slant back since the new factory soft top design won't drop back all the way, like before.

Jeeps and dogs! Wife is out of town so I don't feel guilty typing there's nothing better (she prefers a Subaru, lol)! Here's the older boy in the '15 and hoping @shanez shares more of the great outdoors. And a gratuitous pic of my '15 on a plateau in the Black Hills!

Ill honestly tell anyone I’ve had a CJ5, CJ7,TJ, YJ and now the JKU.
I was a staunch 4 dr hater till I used one for a day. I bought that one the next day with 6 speed manual, Pentastar V6, installed disconnects, KC spotlights connected to the reverse lights under bumper, under-seat vaults and replaced the entire sound system. Wife loves it
And so does the dog.

I just bought a 2023 Subaru Crosstrek, “a poor man’s Jeep.” Certainly not as good off road as a Rubicon, but pretty awesome for its class, lifted 9” AWD and some take them into extreme areas, but I woulndt, just light Canadian forest logging trails and easy over landing, for camping and fishing, -Handles great! That rock crawling looks intimidating, lolIMG_0557.jpeg
