J Roth Pipe?

Saw a pipe marked J Roth or Roth, appeared well made but had a meer liner. Can't find any info on this pipe, was looking for any opinions before I drop moneys on it.

In their book titled "Who Made That Pipe?" Wilczak and Colwell list a "J.R." brand manufactured in the United States by "Joe's Pipe Shop. J. Roth." It sounds like the house brand pipe of a tobacconist.
