I've been buying some Parkers

I've discovered an interest in older Parkers. The briar quality is nice and the stems are good. The earlier Parkers have patent numbers and date codes. They stopped stamping the patent number about the same time Dunhill did and dropped the date code altogether.
First up is a Super BriarBark canted billiard 173 group 2. No date, but I think it's 50s-60s.

Second is a Bent Super BriarBark group 4 dated 1941.

Third is a group 4 Billiard Super Russet. I think it's a 60s-70s pipe.

My only Parker is fairly recent, and I don't see them that often as estate pipes, but I think they are good ones.

Glad to hear the oldies are good burners. Some have stingers, but I lucked out and bought a non-stinger pipe

new online a few years ago, a nice cherrywood shape, compact but with an ample bowl. It took a while to get

the stain out of the shank, but otherwise it was an easy break-in.

The top one has an inner tube. I'm okay with the tube.

Very nice. Parkers are still a pretty good value with a fine lineage. Enjoy.
