It was just a slight fever last Friday, so I took some Aspirin, some Benadryl and went to bed early. About 2200 wife came to bed and found me sweating a storm and incoherent. She dragged me to the emergency room where I got to experience my very first spinal tap along with about 10 other nasty tests, don’t try this at home kids, not a fun experiment. Vial after vial of blood and still no answers why my temp was 104 and I was so out of it. They checked me in and it only got worse from here.
The case was a viral infection of some kind but the worst of it was that I got a blood clot in my foot during my 4 day stay. To cut this short, anti-viral, anti-biotic, by the gallon were being pumped into me now along with 10 mg Warfain and injections of Lovenox.
They kicked me out of the hospital on Tuesday and it has been a flurry of doctors since. Today was the hematologist where I find out that Warfain is going to be my new lifelong friend. The infection that put me there? Rocky MT Spotted Fever, and I live in VIRGINIA! Boy, good news travels far. Anyway, I am home and feel at least half better and will get back up to speed with emails and orders.

Rocky MT Spotted Fever

That's tough...

I'm glad they caught it.

CDC was saying this year's predatory insects are bad because we had such a mild Winter.

Thanks for sharing with us...

It's definitely a word of caution/warning to us all.

Somkin' a bowl for ya.

I'm sure they have already given you all you need to know about warfain but if not make sure to be careful with aspirin and most over the counter pain pills! Also stimulates such as caffeine and Nicotine will effect you more on the stuff, watch out for bleeding and bruising! With that Being said, warfain is one of the cheaper drugs do be thankfull for that :/ good luck!

Glad to hear your on the mend. Living in Tennessee ticks are really bad here as well. Every time I get back in the house I check myself. I was cleaning out the gutters a couple of days ago and had 15 crawling around!

Glad you're back! I also appreciate the info, just in case someone I know ends up in the hospital with a fever.

Thanks guys.
When I was a rough riding, gun toting, 18 year old buck nothing put me under. Even now it takes something really bad to make me sick, but as I close in on 60, things hurt more and feel worse. ouch.
