I have had a great week for pipes and tobacco. I got two Pre Transition Barlings, one Willmer AAA Straight Grain. For tobacco I got a ton of Esoterica aromatics in, I think I got 15 8 oz bags in total plus a bunch of jarred aromatics from a member who was selling a bunch of it. I then got in 50 tins of St Bruno Flake along with a couple of poaches of Amphorra. I am really having trouble finding space to store this stuff.
In the last month I have gotten at around 30 8 oz bags of Esoterica aromatics in total. I had never tried an Esoterica aromatic and I bought all these bags without trying one of them. I figured if I didn't like some I could just hold them for ten years and sell them for a real good profit. All my tobacco that I don't smoke before I take a dirt map will go to my children and they will have a lot of money once they sell it all.
I have really loaded up on aromatics this last month and I am really enjoying everyone of them. Not a one has a bunch of PG in them as I get a bad reaction to them. I have really started to appreciate quality aromatics and it is a lot of fun experiencing numerous different blends. I had loaded up on flakes for years and I have plenty. I was really kind of sad that there were no more blends to try so when I tried Cult Blood Red Moon, it started me on a new journey.
I believe aged tobacco is going to be a great investment down the road. Way better than any bonds or stocks with no risk. In 2012 I sold off all of my English blends that I no longer smoked and I calculated the interest I earned for every year the tobacco aged and the return on my investment was 33% for every year. Hell of a great investment in my book.
