would love to have had a talk with him looks like a man with stories to tell, I'll try my best to be just as involved and interesting, Aldo I'm new to pipe smoking, picked it up after my grand father died 3 years ago and gave me his old pipesYou've taken up the name of a late great member here, foggymountain, who lived in New York state and worked in Manhattan pipe shops in his teens. Interesting gent, steeped in pipe smoking and Dunhllls and other pipes.
yes, its a pre "fin" and spade model but a don't find anything on this on, it seem to be from the late 1950's from the scarce info I could findViking was made by Dr. Grabow.
thanks for the info Chasing Embers, do you know what it would be worth? or the year of manufacturing? trying to find more info on it!Probably the pre Falcon lawsuit model.
The pre lawsuit design was patented in 1954 and the post one 1956. As to the value, it's a buyers market. You just have to find the right collector. I've had pipes that go upwards of $500 that I paid less than $50 for.thanks for the info Chasing Embers, do you know what it would be worth? or the year of manufacturing? trying to find more info on it!
