would love to have had a talk with him looks like a man with stories to tell, I'll try my best to be just as involved and interesting, Aldo I'm new to pipe smoking, picked it up after my grand father died 3 years ago and gave me his old pipes

The pre lawsuit design was patented in 1954 and the post one 1956. As to the value, it's a buyers market. You just have to find the right collector. I've had pipes that go upwards of $500 that I paid less than $50 for.
