Celebrity ownership only imparts a high asking price to those who have some intense feeling about the person, and if there is solid evidence that it really belonged to them. Without strong evidence, it's a racket ripe for suckers. Even if owned by someone I revere, I would only accept such an item from someone close to them, not a purchase. That would make it important to me. Otherwise, from my point of view, what's the point?
