Int'l Pipe Smoking Day In Eastern Pa.

A group of pipe guys got together at Tobacco Village in Whitehall, Pa yesterday for the event. I hope the link I post comes through. There were about 10 blends to try among which were Two Friends English Chocolate, Jack Knife Plug, Founding Fathers and the C&D military series as well as some bulk blends. There were long time pipesters and a couple of newbies. We spent about 4 hours testing the blends AND the single malt.

For anyone who cares, I'm the guy in the dark blue sweater.

We had a great afternoon and the new guys got quite an education.

Dang it John I am so pissed I was working on this Holiest of days and missed out on all the fun.

Duncan- it was fun. We missed you. Over 4 hours of piping and laughs. Psycho Bob had a good time with the newbies and actually gave some good advice. (For everyone else "Psycho" is the Santa looking guy. He actually plays Santa at children's parties.) Hope you catch you on your next visit.

I'll pass along your salutations to Psycho. He proudly served 2 tours in Nam and he's a great guy.

Greetings fellow pipesmoker's ... this is rckern from the BNM -- owner of Tobacco Village in Whitehall (in the cream shirt standing next to the guy in the blue sweater -- how's that?) ... thanks to the papipeguy for taking the pics ... I welcome any and all questions related to pipe smoking and single malt scotch (even converting a bourbon afficionado) ... p.s. the new C&D tobaccos were interesting and exquisite ... this was our first of the International Pipe Smoker's gatherings with many more to come ... hope you guys also had a great time ...
