This just goes to show that Fed, State and Local governments are more interested in the revenue from sales then they are anybody's "health"

yes, the government doesn't want people to quit smoking. any legislation about packaging and health warnings are tools to justify higher taxes. leverage.
as for the big cigarette companies, those are nabisco and kraft these days, aren't they?
what i wanna know is - if i cook my own meals do i need to tip myself? if i do my own laundry should i pay tax on that too? do i need to fill out an st3 resale certificate and have myself sign off on it for received goods - from myself?

If you have not already read them go back to the article and look at the comments. Americans are really getting tired of the endless tactics used by government at all levels to confiscate wealth. It is sad really that we are speeding towards a time when the people and the government are at constant odds.

He also echoed claims, made by Island Smokes in some of its marketing materials, that the roll-your-own cigarettes produced in its stores are healthier than commercially produced packs, because they don't contain some of the same chemical additives.
That brought a rebuke from New York City's health commissioner, Dr. Thomas Farley.
"Claiming that this is healthier is a second scam ... it's totally false," he said. He said the health risks from cigarettes come from inhaling the cancer-causing agents produced by burning tobacco leaves. "There is nothing safe about an 'all natural' tobacco leaf."
That's such a load from the health commissioner. There are some 600 synthetic chemicals used in the manufacturing of most cigarettes THAT DO NOT EXIST IN NATURE. While I'm not about to argue inhaling plain natural tobacco leaves is a healthy option for anyone, it's either ignorance or just plain lying to not acknowledge the added (and I'll always argue WORSE) consequences that those other chemicals produce.
