I alluded to this Specimen Straight Grain a few days ago. I thought it might get close to $200, even with the disclosed issue.

This top-grade series was described in their 1965 catalogue as "The rarest and finest of all Comoy's pipes". They are widely considered among the rarest pipes in the collecting world, with only one in every 10,000 Comoy's pipes reaching this level of quality.

I have a few with worn buttons, as long as you aren't chomping, they have held up fine. Comoys stems are slim, heavy clenchers should look elsewhere.
