Interest in Starting a Meetup in Durham, NC?

Are there any pipe smoking clubs or meetups in the Triangle area? If not, is there any interest? Surely in an area with such a history of tobacco production maybe there’s a few people in the area.

I have a big, shady backyard with a fire pit, just throwing that out there as a potential temporary location.

The TAPS club was in that area for a while and put on a nice little expo every year. I went to the 2019 one which ended up being its last. From what I gather, once covid shut things down they never picked back up again.

Yep… I got into pipes during the pandemic and found them online. Haven’t heard anything from anyone about them being up and running any more. Maybe I’m wrong?

I’ve been there before. I know it’s been there for awhile, but it was a bit underwhelming compared to other B&M’s I’ve been to. Too bad McCrainie’s is all the way in Charlotte.
