Tonight’s Pipes Magazine Radio show will have some more stories from Alan Schwartz. This time we will have some juicy details about pipe factories and tobacco factories. Alan has been smoking pipes, and in the business his entire life. He has been an importer / distributor of pipes and tobaccos, and the publisher of PipeSMOKE Magazine. In Pipe Parts, Brian will talk about smoking in your car.

Alan is a true gentleman. We had a few events in the old B&M that Alan attended and they were wonderful experiences. I was at Sutliff working out details for having some of the H&H tobaccos made by them. Alan and his wife were there also to create additions for the Wessex brand. Paul Creasy took us all to lunch and it was one of the best conversations I can remember.

It downloads and plays for me. I assume I get it through iTunes. I use an app to handle my Podcasts. I have enjoyed these Alan Schwartz episodes very much. The first “real” tobacco I smoked was Wessex Premiere in those black, rectangular tins. It would still be if it were still available. Sounds like it was made by McConnell or perhaps Germain. Once it switched to XWZ distribution and those gold colored tins, it changed. Those PipeSmoke inserts in Smoke Magazine were awesome.

1. iTunes was fixed as of yesterday (9/5) at 8 am. If you still have an issue, try shutting down all apps (double tap the home button, then swipe up on all app windows), and reboot your phone.
2. Stitcher - I just now submitted a support request. The same issue is also happening with another podcast that I just launched this week. It is a totally different file for the feed, so it doesn't seem like it's on our end. Also, it's updating everywhere else, so it's definitely a Stitcher issue.
