Zero Hollywood drama, no "life stories", no flashbacks, no sympathetic character building, no Luke/Leia romances, etc.

It's just you being a "ride along" on the International Space Station during a mission where things get, well, interesting.

VERY interesting.

The physics---always a problem with shot-in-space movies---is very good (not perfect, but the lapses don't affect believability).

Bottom line: If you like adventure SF where the situation is contrived and the action is superhero-y, you will absolutely HATE this film. If you like realistic SF that documents a possible future event where things play out as they actually might, buckle your seatbelt and hold on.

Also: If you decide to go for it, just jump in. Don't read reviews, comment threads on Reddit, or any of that. Having an un-prepped brain is part of the experience. Jump aboard the ISS and see what happens.

Oh yeah. What's the film called? Its title? Simply "Life"

The only channel currently hosting it is FreeVee.

(If you have Amazon Prime, just download the FreeVee app through them. There ARE embedded ads, but they are scant enough to not be bothersome, imo, and I hate ads. lol )

Sweet dreams

Is that the Ryan Reynolds/Jake Gyllenhaal movie? Just trying to figure out which "Life" it is.

Ok, so I watched this and did enjoy it. It reminded me of a book I read several years ago by Tess Garritsen. She's known for her books that the tv series Rizzoli and Isles are based on. Her book called Gravity is similar in many ways, and just as horrifying. It's not the book that the movie Gravity is based on. Her book is an entirely different story, much better than the movie Gravity. A real page turner if you will. Check it out!

Some of my favorite documentaries are when the US shows us all out high tech weaponry. My favorite is the carrier group. People have no idea that just one of our carrier groups can wipe out the planet. I believe we have 8 carrier groups. The newest Super Carier is the Gerald R Ford and that is such a bad as machine it blows the mind.

Our entire submarine fleet could decimate the planet if we wanted to. When they compare the next 8 militaries places like China and Russia are a complete joke compared to ours. If we wanted the Ukraine it would take all of 2 days to wipe them out. People just don't understand what the military industrial complex is. Eisenhower warned the world and no one listened.

Our latest 6 generation fighters are so far above the rest of the worlds, especially when we send massive amounts of drones to clear the way.

I love this shit. When we claim we only have 1550 nuclear war heads were are lying though are teeth so bad. we probably have twice that.

I forgot to add that I watched that documentary and watch everyone like it when released. I especially like the subject of worm holes and faster than light travel. Our closest sun is 4 light years away. 1 lighter year equals around 25 trillion miles. Now begin adding the tens after the last numbers. Our Milky way galaxy is hundreds of thousands of light years long. The vastness of space is so mind blowing it is so hard to conceive. Billions of galaxies spread out so far they have special numbers. The chances of intelligent life out there somewhere is 100%. The chances of those species being billions of years more advanced than us is 100%. I just hope it is the Klingons who make first contact and not the Borg.
