Peterson’s De Luxe Navy Rolls is my favorite tobacco I’ve smoked thus far. Bread and figs. Simple, clean. I’d like to buy a bunch to have on hand and age. The price point is pretty high, though.

I know there probably isn’t a match/substitute, but any recommendations for something comparable, with those bready virginias and figgy Perique at a lower price point would be much appreciated. I get too much hay/grass from Escudo (still great, just not what I’m chasing to cellar).

Personally, as much as possible I would buy what you like. Watch for sales and stock up on stuff. Especially watch Nova bc they aren’t charging NY sales tax yet. That said, I’m sure others will chime in with some great options.

I would also recommend trying some with a few different ages to see how it will be in 5 years or 10. Some people are surprised that they actually prefer a blend fresher.
Yep. I'm one. Don't get me wrong the old tins I have will be enjoyed but I think this stuff is best fresh. And also don't dry it out too much. I think there is some sugar/water solution they use to make this that gives it an extra sweetness compared to Escudo.
