I remember The Greek's

Boogis Street on Hong Kong island is off Ice House Street, just up and across from Jimmy's Kitchen: Cobblestones, four-storey cement buildings with bamboo poles carrying

laundry running across overhead. The Greek's is down on the left.
The Greek was a Cypriote: The Greek imported pipes and pipe tobaccoes, the Greek imported cigars, the Greek imported cofees and roasted them in the back, the Greek imported honey from Cyprus and the Greek's wife made baclava on-site. You walked into the Greek's and your nose told you you had died and gone to Heaven.
I bought my first Charatan from the Greek.

Sounds like a wonderful memory. I wish there were more stores like that these days.
