I love Becker pipes. He works a lot with non-traditional wood (i.e. cherrywood, strawberry, and especially morta), and his blast work is second to none. I've been obsessing over one of his morta pipes for months; I just don't have that much cash to spend on a pipe at the moment. But I do have a morta bulldog, and it smokes amazingly well. I can't wait to get another.

old cajun, how do the morta's smoke compared to a high quality briar? Are they heavy or light? I have been thinking about one just to see what they are like.

They are very light, smoke very dry almost like a Meer, break in should be slow, love them the old cajun

The O.D. of that pipe is over 2 inches, what, pray tell, do you usually smoke that is bigger than that?
