Sunny Cornwall, UK.
Whilst casually browsing pipes on Ebay this morning I came upon this UK seller going by the name "jon-yoo-suk-smoking-pipes".
Surely someone is having a laugh here?
Regards,
Jay.

In the sticks in Mississippi
woodsroad:  I remember that, and I couldn't believe at the time that it went out unchecked, or that the news broadcaster didn't catch it. Not supposed to be funny, but yet it is.... I know, I'm a sicko!

"You suck," "pissed off," and other what-used-to-be off color expressions have become the grist of standard conversation. However, as the name of a business, it is not an invitation to businesslike and ethical treatment. For a time after I was separated from the Navy and out of grad school, both as a job and as a cause, I worked helping veterans collect their GI Bill and other benefits. In training, they lectured us that, no matter how the veteran college students dressed to come to the veterans office, we should be in jacket and tie. "How they dress is their business, but when they come to talk to someone about their GI Bill check, they want you to look responsible." It's a sad aspect of human nature that we expect way more of others than we do of ourselves. So jon-you-suck gets no business from me.

Jay, that is actually his name. Makes some pipes of his own, lives in Peterborough, UK.

At the time i also made and sold specialist tuning items for fishing reels, i got back into cigars in 2009 and pipe a couple of years ago, my workshop at home was not doing much so i got my cabinet maker brother to cut me some suitable blocks and started making some pipes (first ones were pretty crude), have since invested in some more equipment and started to up my skill level, i tend to stay away from traditional designs and techniques and do my own thing.
PM sent.

NO not Korean, English as the day is long.

I got the name idea after someone mentioned it would put him off if the crowd shouted, YOO SUK KIM as he ran up to vault.

Anyhow the name is Jon, and i have not been making pipes due to health and family issues, but good news I will soon be able to enjoy a bowl again and even better I can return to carving real soon.

I’d like seeing some of your pipes now that I’ve invested time in reading this thread. It’d be a neat way to see it come full circle.
Hope your health returns soon and you are able to enjoy smoking one of your creations again!
