Sitting in the car having SWRA in a cob. Nothing was right. Couldn't retrohale without coughing, keep inhaling without meaning to, ember keep going out.. Drooling.. Dried the pipe, dump the ashes. Try to tamp, but there was something that's not moving. Freaking Mother Loving Log!!! A good size wooden bit was in the chamber. Took it out and my memory returned x)

Ha ha, I have days like this also. Wake up and pour coffee down the front of my shirt, just miss my mouth all together. Put Neosporin on my toothbrush. Cook an egg and sausage and walk out the door forgetting to eat them. Ha ha.

Same rules apply to packing a bowl when driving as to why one should never drink and drive [because you might spill some]
Though we may well think that we've got to the stage where we're able to pack a bowl without much thought, your experience proves the point that things can go wrong when trying to do two things at once.

I had the head of a match stick do the same thing the other day halfway through a bowl, don't know how I didn't notice it drop in.

Well there's at least half your problem.
Just the risk of one breaking a match in half upon striking while driving was enough to always use a Bic in the car.
Not really an issue on the Ducati. [Well not for me at least. If the car in front is leaking fuel it would be a timely reminder to get it fixed ]
