I most enjoy Dunhill's Early Morning pipe tobacco and smoke it almost all day, every day. Now that Dunhill is available again in the USA it seems the suppliers are having a hard time keeping the supply to meet the demand.
Anybody else experiece this?
I have had many "matches" recommended to me but nothing comes close to the original, but I have found a few other blends I now can enjoy from time to time.

Unfortunately, this has become commonplace for a number of the more popular blends. It began about two years ago with Penzance, which was out of stock for months. When it finally arrived, a lot of folks ordered much more than usual and it went out of stock again. Since then people react to a perceived shortage by jumping on any supplies as soon as they arrive. Its happening now with Samuel Gawith.

The silly thing is that if people just calmed down and only ordered what they needed rather than enough to let them smoke for a couple of years straight, then there would probably be enough for everyone.

I have been wondering as of late if some of the Dunhill replacements being blended by Orlik are not actually the real McCoy with different tin art (along the lines of the Navy Deluxe Rolls / Escudo); for example, Brigham does a D-Series blend called "Rise and Shine" that seems to me to be exactly the same blend as EMP. I have a couple of other offerings somewhere in the mail, with the matching (Brig) replacements waiting for there arrival, namely Royal Yacht (Yacht Club), and Flake (still called flake), to do comparisons against and see if I can discern a difference, as of course the blender could have just gotten lucky with the one recipe.
I know this info won't help much now, but I understand it won't be long until the Brigham tobacco offerings are available south of the 49th.

I just stopped at my local B&M and they had 7 tins of Early morning on the shelf, this is NJ and the price was 12.49 each. I asked if they would mail it and the answer was yes. If you want the phone number send me a pm.

Well I got lucky and found some NC at my local shop, the older Orlik blend from 2008 so I purchased 3 tins but still hoping the EMP shows up soon.
