I Am Amazed That It Has Been Ten Years.

I just realized that I signed up in May of 2012. Ten years has gone so quickly that I have trouble wrapping my head around it. I have made some great friends along the way and this site is my home site. When I get my first cup of coffee and first pipe ready I come here first to see what is going on. In my opinion there is not a pipe site in the world that has as much information or as many world experts as PM. I still learn new stuff even after 20 years of piping. I have tried to be helpful to the new guys and I try to welcome mostly all the guys who introduce themselves.

Since I rarely go out due to health issues, this site is very important to me. Yes I know I can be a dumbass at times and say stupid stuff but it is never intentional. I am on so many meds for a laundry list of problems I sometimes forget what is what. I have a live in care taker as I cannot be alone for long. Out of all the illnesses I think the worst in order is my dementia, stage 4 kidney disease, Neuropathy and my back that is full of metal.

This site helps me to take my mind off my issues more than any other site on the web. I know I can be a pain in the butt when I start rambling because I took an extra pill or two. There are days when my issues become over whelming and I just need to lose it for a day.
I try real hard to not get on this site when that happens but I am not always successful.

I wish I could promise Kevin and his crew of moderators that it will never happen again but then I would be outright lying. I am very grateful to Kevin that I have never been banned because that would be a huge blow to my life. Not once have I disagreed that I didn't deserve my punishment as I know I did. I wish I had an editor in my house who would proofread my posts so the stupid stuff I say wouldn't reach the site.

These last ten years have been great. I have seen my cellar grow from a few tins to a 20 plus year supply. . I have redone my pipe collection 3 times I think since joining. I love how we enable each other to buy more pipes and more tobacco. I always try to give Kevin's sponsors as much business as I can because that is what keeps the lights on here and that is a big deal.

I will close with this, thanks Kevin for the best pipe site on the web and thanks for putting up with me all these years.

We all say and do stupid shit on occasion. At least you have a good excuse for it...

Hi Jay, thanks for your post. I do have to tell you that my first pipemaster that I bought is giving me trouble. I have to click a few times before it lights up. It is 6 or 7 years old. I am going to contact IM Corona and ask them if I can fix it by cleaning something or if I should sent it in. The funny thing is that my first Old Boy needed work after about a 7 o 8 years as the seals got messed up. If memory serves I sent it to them and they fixed for free or if they did charge me it wasn't a lot. Here's to you getting lots more great years.

You ain't lying. you bugged the shit out of me for weeks before I broke down and bought my first pipe. It was a Savinelli Linea Pui 5 with a silver band. Mikey at Regency gave me 20% off. He showed me how to pack it, light it, smoke it, but failed to explain how a pipe can tear up your mouth from puffing to hard. I do appreciate your relentlessness.

Here is that first pipe as I will always keep it even though I never smoke it. It is ghosted bad with English and has an acrylic stem. It was a great first pipe as I learned how to smoke dry and cool very shortly. \

Bradley, I am telling your wife that none of the pipes you own cost you only 50.00. I am ratting you and will come up with some fake invoices showing the 1000.00 plus pipes you own. By the time I am done she will know you spent a quarter of a million dollars. heheheh
