Hey Dover. Is this an annual event or just for the anniversary? Don’t think I’m able to make it but maybe in the future.
We used to run an annual event, up and until COVID-19. We were more or less on "hiatus". As the "President" / El Jefe / Grand Poo-Bah, I decided we had to commemorate our Anniversary, since we missed the 25th., for the aforementioned reason.

The members of the Club are eager to continue our tradition of having a yearly event. We used to host the "Kaywoodie Holiday Extravaganza" aka "HVPC Pipe Show and Greater Northeast Smoking Contest" at the old Kaywoodie Factory in Peekskill, NY and then later, at a Sportsman's Club in Wappinger Falls, NY. Bill Feuerbach is a member of the HVPC, and was the driving force behind our holiday event. When Bill starting having health issues, we were in the middle of the pandemic. As we all know now, Bill has stepped down from Kaywoodie and now, Nathan Davis, runs Katwoodie. Nathan holds an event in June, up in Albany, NY. He has taken over the pipe smoking contest.

Based on the turnout, this Saturday, we will decide what we will be doing, going forward. Our event, is primarily a "get together" to celebrate our anniversary. Yes, we will have a few vendors on hand. Nathan Davis will be representing Kaywoodie, Joe Skoda will be representing Skoda Pipes, and Greg Polla will be representing Merchant Service Pipes. Andre Tessier, from United Pipe Clubs of America, will be on site also.

We have several tables still available, if anyone wishes to sell! You can be a retailer or collector, doesn't matter to me. Sell your tins and tobacco. Make a bit of "scratch" and enjoy the lounge. The location is perfect for this type of event. The lounge if very large and well appointed. A full cash bar is on site and we are bringing in a food vendor.

I am praying that we get a decent turnout. We may not be as big as Chicago or Vegas, but we are trying to do our own little thing, for the folks in the Northeast.

If anyone who is reading this, decides to attend, please come up and introduce yourself, if we don't already know each other! Looking forward to seeing old and new friends on Saturday! -Sean aka "DoverPipes"

I have been to this location and it is ideal. I am hoping going forward there will be more events. I love this sort of thing. More events means more exposure to others in the community. Hope to see people there.

I hope you got huge traffic. The Hudson Valley is a special, beautiful place; all of my children were born there and I miss it this time of year (and in fall even more). I would definitely have been there if we still lived nearby.
