Several Forums members expressed interest in, and some bought, the new Peterson

pipe series named for Count Dracula, the mythical vampire. These pipes are hefty,

smooth bowled ebony pipes with blood red stems, quite striking and distinctive.

Has anyone had a chance to break in a Drac' yet and be able to report on its smoking

characteristics and its impact on onlookers? It is definitely a dramatic pipe and should

be a collector's item, if the market isn't oversold. Are other non-Drac owners like

me more tempted by now, or moving right on past that whole idea?

I just don't like the red stem? I have a few Petes and was excited about the Dracula but highly disappointed, Too plasticaly looking, is that a word?

I've had my Dracula for a few months now and I love it. It's smoking very well. Great draw to it and the bowl stays fairly cool. I got the 03 full bent apple so it clenches very nicely. It's well balanced. Overall a great pipe for the price.

I don't believe I'll be getting a Peterson Dracula, but for those who have them, they sound like

keepers. I think if your eye is drawn to that blood red stem, it's speaking to you. And as I

learned from Roth, it is a limited edition, so I think we may not see anything quite like it

again. Drawn to the black rusticated bowl and bright lucite/acrylic stem in both Dracula

and the Savenelli Solaria (which Roth noted is also going out of production), but not wanting

the filter option, I finally was accosted by the BC Caprice, with a raspberry stem and black

rusticated bowl, a bent billiard in BC's familiar 1304 shape, and bought that. But hang onto

them Drac's; they're one of a kind.

A lot of people have been asking about them. And people who have them seem to love them.

I have been a Peterson fan for several years now. They are the main chunk of my rotation. I had considered a Dracula but would have preferred the finish to be more along the lines of their Enony dress pipes. I love my Petes and 03's are my favorite shape. Just haven't been able to talk myself into one. I did however just order a Pete Wicklow from smoking pipes and I just put a System on layaway at my local B&M today!

I really like pipes that look "traditional" for lack of a better word, but that's only in regards to what I feel comfortable smoking with my personality. I have a friend who I know would love a Dracula and look great smoking it, and I think they are awesome pipes in general. Love looking at them, just couldn't ever smoke one.

It's not a Dracula, but I love the Peterson ebony bent brandy (some say volcano)

B11 Killarney dress pipe, all black with two thin silver-colored bands. It's light,

Group 4, is a sitter, and is a classic Peterson shape. B11's come in other series

as well; any would be a fine acquisition. Un-sung but primo.
