Hey guys could anyone offer some advice on the best way to send tobacco to Canada from the UK.

I've been reading the requirements and am confused as to whether i should mark the package as a gift or not and whether i should mark the quantity as tobacco or something else?
It's only a small amount of tobacco (70g) so i'd like to try to avoid the heavy tax in Canada if possible. Someone has already suggested writing Hobby Supplies in the description (it is a hobby after all). any thoughts or suggestions?

I've had good luck marking the packages as "hazardous biochemical medical waste" and that usually gets through with no problem. It makes people afraid to open the box. About 1 in 20 times it results in a spontaneous raid from customs and a rough, full body cavity search but its worth it because of the savings and occasionally, you make a new friend!

Hey Jules; I've had tobacco successfully shipped to me declaired as "Tobacco Samples" (from Sterling Tobacco in the U.S.), and declaired as a Gift from my cousin in Japan with no extra duties collected...as long as the amount being shipped is less than 200g and valued at less than $20 CAD, you should be ok.
