Whatever you want.
But, most people only ha e a couple pipes to cover aromatics. And maybe one or two for a staple blend they keep in rotation
My suggestion, buy some cobs.

I primarily use cobs for all my aromatics, but I also smoke burlies & Virginias in them from time to time, especially burley. Cobs were made for burley. I have one pipe that I dedicated to straight Virginias and two pipes for English blends. I do have a bent Dr. Grabow Big Pipe that seems to handle aromatics just as good as my cobs. You'll find your way and believe me the journey is pleasant.

I've designated pipes for English, Virginia blends, and all aros. I use cobs and briars for each(Meers too if i had any). I guess I just like testing everything out.

I don't ever dedicate my pipes. But...I only smoke one blend. So is it maybe I just ALWAYS dedicate my pipes? The world may never know.
Seriously though, when I started, I could taste the ghosts of every blend I put through a pipe. And that bugged the Hell out of me. So before I found my one blend, I tried to dedicate my pipes to certain types. One for Burley, Virginia etc.

I have found, at least for myself, what work best is to have a pipe or two dedicated to an aromatic blend that tends to leave a bit more of a ghost; however, over the last year I have found the desire to change my dedicated pipes. This is primarily as I more fully learn the ends and outs of each pipe and also the tobaccos I smoke. Heck, I have even switched some of my dedicated aromatic pipes to my regular VaPer blends.
As stated above, let it come naturally to you and enjoy the ride.

I don't smoke aros, that stated, I smoke English mixes and I smoke Va, VaPer blends. I don't dedicate pipes. I little English ghost, with my Va is fine, it dissipates after a bit anyway. Besides, there is Va in English blends anyway.
If I did smoke aros, I'd use one for each flavor of aro. And cobs are cheap, so use cobs.

If you can't tell from smoking them then don't bother, and if you can tell and it bothers you, then do bother!
No right or wrongs here and in some ways I think having the internet is a hindrance to simply solving the little mysteries of this hobby, the traditional way (by smoking a pipe!) :puffy:
...And in complete contradiction to what I have just stated, I am now also curious if there are people out there dividing up their aromatic dedicated pipes by flavour! Darn interweb!

This is really a matter of personal preference. Experiment, explore, and find out what works best for you.

I try to dedicate a pipe to a type of tobacco, like many others have stated. However, one of the only aromatics I've ever purchased in a tin was Blue Note. I smoked that entire tin in a single kaywoodie that already had a nice cake. By the end of the tin, it was done of the absolute best smoking, especially for an aromatic, I've ever had. I don't know why, but I never bought it again, but there was definitely a positive to smoking that much of a blend in a single pipe. I remember reading that if you dedicate pipes to blends, the cake absorbs that tobaccos profile and you end up unlocking lots of little nuances that others miss

I have two Blatter & Blatter's that are dedicated to 3P's. Does it make a difference? I don't know, but there certainly isn't anything changing or affecting the taste. The difference between cube cutting and rubbing out is apparent even with my palate though
