I just counted all the Marxman pipe purchases I’ve made since April.

Let’s not count my Straight Grain and two 400s and the two 1987 Anniversary freehands. Those are gooderns. Special treats. Average price near $100 each. $500

I’ve bought about 20 Marxman pipes averaging $25 delivered since April. $500.

I spend right around a hundred dollars a month on Marxman pipes, some months more than others.

Looks like before long I’ll need another plastic bucket.:)

This morning I drive thru a fast food joint and breakfast was $10.

Compared to everything else we buy in life good estate pipes are cheaper than dirt, if you spread out buying them.

And when the time comes when I’ll sleep to wake no more, my kids ought to get all my money back and every pipe I buy will be better than when I bought them.

Pipes and tobacco are about the cheapest addictions a man can have, except coffee.

Coffee might be cheaper than pipes if you make your own or coffee at home, but if you buy it at Starbucks or Dutch Brothers it can cost you $5 plus per cup! That's roughly about $150 a month for coffee. For that price I can buy a decent estate pipe and a month's worth of tobacco every month.
