When I log in I usually run through the list of alerts, particularly checking quotes when they’re listed.

@sablebrush52 , I do as well. I hate seeing the red message symbol. It's also nice knowing that someone has read a post and replied to it. Communication takes two. Otherwise it's written masturbation. A bit vulgar, but true.
I'll add this - it seems for quite a few, trolling a topic just to get a response is a bit like voyeurism - I imagine some of these posters are just wearing raincoats.
Yep. If someone is going to quote, I'd at least like to provide a response if it's a quote that need one. Also gives a little idea how active a particular thread may be.
I was under the impression that everybody checked them. I even look at the 'likes' a lot of the time, as I often forget what I had said and need a reminder. Haha.
I turned off alerts for any likes, and get emails for any reports. But I'm on the forum every day, and don't miss any alerts.
I turned off my alerts for ‘likes’ in my settings so the only alerts I get are for messages and quotes. I always check mine.
Lately, there’s been a lot of activity on the forum. We went from the doldrums of Fall to the winter storms these last few weeks. I login to large numbers at the top also.
I also have an email stuck in my inbox. Someone had sent me a link that goes straight to a 404 page. So, I always have at least a 1 up there.

I always check mine. Look for new info on threads and generally ignore the likes unless I forgot what I said....
I check the traps each morning, if that's what you mean.
The little bastards are annoying as hell.
Even my cats can't keep up with 'em. They're tasty (apparently), but also very filling, so they never get 'em all before falling asleep in a sun square.

First I have to successfully log in without receiving a ban notice.
Once past that hurdle, yes I usually scan any alerts that may be there. I only click on them when I can't remember what it was about. It's interesting when occasionally someone likes a comment from a very old thread...sometimes years old. It's sometimes difficult to remember ever having made the comment.
