How It's Made- Pipes

Did anyone catch the episode of "How It's Made" where they went into the Dunhill factory (you don't find out until the end of the segment) and showed how they make their pipes? On my TV it's on one of the SciFi channels (but I can't imagine why) and I happened to DVR it last week. It was pretty interesting. The staining part was really neat, they coat it with an alcohol based stain and basically flash it in place so it dries instantly when the alcohol burns off, then they do another coat, and another, and another. If you haven't seen it, it's worth looking into checking it out.

There are episodes of this show which I've found entertaining.....there was one on Diamond matches some time ago that I enjoyed but I haven't seen the Dunhill show.... 8O

Not SciFi, but The Science Channel (also The Discovery Channel) on satellite.

You can't show all the steps in a 2:57 video, but it's interesting anyway!
Now to find out how to get those fancy Dunhill-marked white gloves.

Hey buckeye... Use Tandy leather dye. It works as good as anything you can find and most of the major American high end pipe makers use it.
