How Does One Spice Up...?

The question is this - how would one ramp up the strength and taste of a blend that is a bit too mild and plain?
I'm primarily talking about English and similar styles.

This. Also, get some straight Perique and try adding some of that if that’s your thing.
I think the short answer is, add stronger, more flavorful tobacco to the weak blend.

My favorite home made aromatic uses a topping of Almond, Anise, Orange, Vanilla, and Royal Jamaican Blackstrap Molasses Rum, blended with plenty of Perique into some good Virginia and Orientals.

My favorite one I've conjured up is a blend of Yenidje, Samsun, Red Virginias, and Perique infused with a mango essence that I've named "Mihrimah".

English blends, too mild and plain? Maybe it's time to hit the tongue scraper a little more often when brushing your teeth.

Are we talking about nicotine kick or flavor strength? If the former, I suggest trying big n burley, described by c&d as a “mild English” by which they mean light on the Latakia, but nic wise it’s pretty strong

How about using some of that C&D Perique you said you just received?

I feel redundant enough to feel like I need a "Five Brothers" button on my keyboard but it's just a go-to when wanting more oomph without changing the flavor too drastically. And yes spice with oomph would be the Perique.
