How do you private message on here

how do you start a private message with someone on here? I go to their profile but dont see "send a message"

Find his name in a thread. Under his avatar, you'll see the PM link.

You can also go to the private messaging page by clicking under the words "private messaging" on the upper right side of the forum main page. There you will find a drop down menu listing all of the members, all 2,369,478 of them, and scroll down said pop up menu until you find the name of the poor schnook you want to contact. Select the name, type in your message and hit send. Voila! You have entered the miraculous world of the PM pm system where no formatting exists. But you will have sent the schnook of your choice a private message.

Just to add, there seems to be 2 different Message systems on here, one from the Home/My Account/Messages and a totally different one from Forums then hit private messages on the right side of page.
