I picked up one of the Dr. Grabow Color Dukes off a fella that sold me the pipe rack I bought last weekend:

How do I shine this baby up without potentially ruling the finish? I mean it's in pretty decent shape and looks like it's barely been smoked at all, but the surface does have a few smudges and smears, maybe it was dragged against something that created some hazy lines in it. I just want to shine it up and maybe buff away any of the lines I can see on it without screwing up the finish.

Rub the bowl on the side of your nose and cheek and buff. Viola!
This works great on unfinished pipes, but on finished I don't know.(I've done that on many unstained Savs etc and does the trick). Maybe a pipe cloth from one of the major pipe makers?...

For the blemishes you might try a clean, soft, unsewn wheel in a slow speed buffer. It the blemishes are deep into the finish a refinish may be necessary. A soft cotton cloth, worked hard against the finish might remove the cloudiness and the blemishes.
Not knowing your skill level, hang onto that pipe when going to the wheel. Pipes ricochet a bit when you lose hold, all around the shop.

Can't speak to the quality of weezell's nose wax.
I know it works great on unfinished pipes, just never thought it would work on the "painted" type like that...
