I'm not too keen on Middleton's either.

I prefer Paladin Black Cherry.

Maybe your last pouch had been on the shelf a little too long.

Hey Steamtrain, is THIS the thread you are talking about?
If it is, it wasn't deleted. Next time you are looking for an old thread, click the "New Member" tag under your avatar and you can see every thread that you started at the bottom of the page!
Also I just combined your last two threads.

I think Middleton's Cherry Blend is a great one. It's one of my favorites. For years I would have nothing to do with Cherry blends from anyone. Then one day I just wanted to smoke some. Odd I thought, but I gave several a try. I liked Middleton's because it wasn't too overboard. It still tasted like tobacco. I also liked Rattray's Terry Red, but I'm out of that, and I understand Rattray's blends are now made in Denmark and are sweeter.

But I keep a tub of Middleton Cherry around all the time now.

I we were only allowed to post positive reviews of pipes and tobaccos, how useful would that be?
Little Johnny was 8 years old and had never spoken a word in his life. One day at breakfast he blurter out "Damn, this milk has gone sour." His parents were shocked and asked him why he had never spoken before. He said, "Well, until now everything has been ok".

LOL Searock!
Oh man, that's the thread I lost it in over the ridiculous asinine page on Middleton's site.
Please have it be known that we do not censor negative reviews here.
Bob wrote a great, very simple policy on reviews for our new site, which you may want to read here:

If we dont know whats bad...How do we know whats good?

Again its were youy get the stuff....PA and Ohio have hundreds of tobbaco shops that cater

to cheap cigs but pipe smokers who are hard up are taking a crap shoot when they get pipe tobacco

because the product may be old and does not rotate, There are times when I am wrking in places that have no pipe shops and I am stuc with what I get... and that is dried out tobaco...Retrning pouches of Pipe Tocacco like returning skunky beer is no fun. Now my mission is to find the bottom ofthe barrel here...

Looks like a great new site. TobaccoReviews.com has been unhelpful as the reviews I've read, the MANY reviews I've read don't seem to jive with my pallet.

Use tobaccoreviews as I do: do an advanced search for the components you like in your favorite blend and then try out the results. (I usually don't bother with the actual reviews - unless many of them are really negative or really positive)
