Marlin Flake, Hal ’o the Wynd, and Old Gowrie are all really great blends.
I haven’t had one I haven’t liked. My favourite is old gowrie
In the old days they were as well regarded as Dunhill. They still have a following but not like they once did. Nevertheless, they're worth exploring. Red Rapparee is one of my favorites
Old Gowrie is a favorite of mine for an all day type of smoke. I'm looking forward to popping a tin of Red Lion as I've read that it's K&K's production of Peterson's Old Dublin. Come to think of it, I don't ever really see anyone complaining about any of Rattray's blends.

If you look for it, I think it's called Orange Passion now, but it's the same stuff.

I've had three. Red Rap, OG and Hal O' the Wynd. Old Gowrie is solid, but pretty mild in flavor to my tastes. Hal O' the Wynd is fuller in flavor and I like it more. These are blends where I wonder if the change in manufacturers has neutered them a bit. TR shows Hal as medium to strong and I just don't see it unless the older versions were stronger.
Red Rap is fantastic. A pretty stellar medium Latakia blend in my opinion. Still want to try Marlin Flake.

Old Gowrie and Hal O' The Wynd are outstanding. Managed to buy a tin of each over ten years old recently. Was going to cellar more in 2019 but didn't see any available. Short supply that goes quickly.
I'm a Hal man myself - can't get enough of the stuff (literally). I've tried several other Rattray's blends that were good (Highland, OG, Professional, Red Rap, etc.), but nothing I'm going to buy a lot more of.
In an interview with Mary McNeil I'm pretty sure she said the old Rattray's blends provided inspiration for McClelland in the early days.

The big 5 for me are Old Gowrie, Marlin Flake, Hal o the Wynd, Red Rapparee, and Bagpipers Dream.
Most all Rattrays are fine blends, but those 5 are exemplary. Particularly Old Gowrie, one for the ages.

Blossom Temptation is a Rattray's aromatic that I've enjoyed.
Red Raparee is quite good. It has a similar oriental flavour to Presbyterian but with a bit more Latakia.
I like Brown Clunee, Hal O, and Old Gowrie just fine but Marlin Flake is the only one I cellar deeply.
I've only tried their Sir William, and I really like that one a lot.
